Effective July 19, 2026
The Ember Report is an email briefing. We collect the minimum needed to send it, and we treat your inbox the way we'd want ours treated. Here's the whole picture, in plain language.
What we collect
Your email address when you sign up. If you arrived through someone’s share link, we record that connection so we can credit them. When you confirm, unsubscribe, or tap a feedback link, we record that action; feedback taps include the reason you choose and anything you type in the box. If you someday opt in to text alerts, your phone number: we’ll ask separately, and nothing is collected until you say yes.
How we use it
To send the briefing you asked for, run confirmations and unsubscribes, read your feedback, and understand what’s useful so we build the right things. We never sell or rent your information, and we don’t run third-party advertising.
Who processes it
The briefing runs on a small set of providers who process data on our behalf: Supabase (database), SendGrid (email delivery), Vercel (this website), Cloudflare (routing and DNS), and Railway (automation). Our email provider also reports delivery events (bounces and spam reports) so we can keep the list healthy. Links in our emails are tokenized to your subscription so one-click unsubscribe and one-tap feedback work without a login.
Cookies and tracking
This site uses no advertising trackers and no analytics cookies.
How long we keep it
As long as you’re subscribed. When you unsubscribe, we stop sending immediately and keep only the minimum needed to make sure we never email you again. Want everything gone? Ask, and we’ll delete it.
Your controls
Every email has a one-click unsubscribe. For questions, corrections, or deletion, reply to any briefing or write hello@ember.report; a real person reads every one.
